TXRCRR 2026 Rules

HILL RULES:
RACE FORMAT: Each race will be 4 separate hills, 1 run each.
MAX TIME LIMIT: 90 seconds. If there is inclement weather, it is up to the Commissioner to add any additional time.
POINTS: Halfway: 2pts Completion: 5pts. Placement: 10 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 / 1. Points may be added if there's more than 15 drivers per class.
OUT OF BOUNDS: Gates line the pathway. You must go through the gates in the direction of the course. At least 2 wheels through the gate from the same side of the rig (right or left, not front or rear). If you rollover or go off course after you clear a gate, you do not need to go through the last gate again. Course boundary if two hills are side by side — if you cross it you are out of bounds. You may not alter the course or the barrier. If a rig kicks loose a rock, it is part of the course. Stay off the course except to recover a rig. You may not chase your rig. Pick a spot and stay in it (occasional 10–15 feet to see the end is allowed).
NO HAND OF GOD: Once any part of your body touches your rig it is a DNF. Driving skills to flip back over are OK. Exception: electrical issue that does not require picking up or moving the rig (e.g. plug a wire back in).
THE TIMER IS GOD: If you stop the timer through the gate, that is your time. If you clearly went through the finish and time did not stop, you will be offered a re-run. If you jump the gate/timer, you must go through the timer to stop time. If you drive through the timer and it does not stop but you back up and stop the timer, that is your time. No video reviews.
PLASTIC CLASS: 1/10 plastic tubed roll cage. Chassis must resemble a rock bouncer or U4. Shocks mount to the cage. Skids no longer than 8”. No twin vertical plates, no comp crawler chassis, no SCT chassis. Max 2.2 wheel, max 6” tire.
METAL CLASS: 1/10 metal tubed roll cage. Same shape/shock/skid rules. Max 2.2 wheel, max 6” tire. Must fit the starting box. Max wheelbase 17.5”, max width 14.5”.

U4 RULES:
RACE FORMAT: Qualifying heats 5 minutes. Racing the clock, not each other. Most laps then lowest elapsed time sets TQ and starting order. Mains/semis/LCQs by entry count. Transponders required (purchase or rent at the event). Mounting is the driver’s responsibility. Timing system is god.

U4 SOLID: 1/10 solid axles front and rear, tubed roll cage (plastic or metal). Open-wheel buggy, no short course or desert racer bodies. Max 2.2 / 2.2x3.0 wheels, max 6” tire. Max wheelbase 17.5”, max width 14.5”. Common: Bomber, Ryft, GOM, Wraith, Gatekeeper.
U4 IFS: Independent front, solid rear, tubed cage. Same tire/size limits. Common: Rock Rey, Hammer Rey, Twin Hammers, custom.
U4 FIS: Full independent front and rear, tubed cage. Same tire/size limits. Common: Lasernut, DB48, LN48, Tenacity, custom.
